Details
Krug Collection--Vintage 1952 magnum(1)
Krug Collection--Vintage 1953 magnum(1)
In a Krug collection wooden case
The 1952 magnum celebrates the 40th anniversary of the accession, and the 1953 the Coronation, of H.M. the Queen. Both magnums, specially shipped from the Krug family cellar in Reims will be in perfect condition.
Tasting notes: the 1952 is pale for its age; creamy, toasted, refined bouquet; austere yet rich with lovely crisp dry acidic finish. Paul Krug, the father of Rémi and Henry, considered the 1953 his finest vintage: colour pale gold, a prickle of mousse; bouquet combining rich cream with smoky Chardonnay; fairly dry, good body, rich,'nutty', perfect length and finish.(MB)
Above 2 magnums per lot
