Lot Essay

Boss selective single-triggers are scarce. They are even more so when fitted to other maker's guns. This Ford boxlock is of exceptional quality, and the work of conversion was almost certainly carried out by Boss. The gun is of additional interest in having Whitworth-steel chopper-lump barrels and a Boss case. C.W.P. Hampton was a noted collector of vintage motor cars
