This and the following two drawings relate to the series of twenty-four plates entitled Hungarian and Highland Broadsword, designed and etched by Rowlandson for Messrs. H. Angelo and Son and published in 1799 (see J. Grego, Rowlandson the Caricaturist, 1880, vol 1. pp. 374-5). Grego writes 'The subjects are executed with considerable dash and spirit'
