An unusual mid-19th century live steam copper and brass 3½in. gauge 2-2-2 locomotive and tender 'Go Ahead' -- 8 x 19in.(20.2 x 48.2cm)

With seamed copper boiler with single oval flue, safety valve, steam dome regulator, rivetted smoke box and ashpan. Chassis details include 'L' section frames engraved to simulate fletching, twin outside cylinders (covers detached) with overhead valves operated by inside eccentrics with dummy 'lift-off' rods and rocking levers, barrelled connecting rods and axles, marine type big ends, flangeless brass wheels, springs and hangers, directionally adjustable leading axle and other details. Tender details include dummy fletched frames, flangeless wheels and copper water tank with brass embellishment (some loose pieces)
