A finely engineered 2/4in.:1ft scale 5in. gauge model of the Fowler 0-6-0 side tank locomotive 'The Wild Fowler' built from engineering drawings by W. Fedler circa 1964 -- 22 x 47in.(56 x 119.5cm)

With silver soldered and rivetted superheated copper boiler with fittings including twin water gauges, pressure gauge, safety, blower, whistle, sifting and other valves and blow down cock. Chassis details include twin outside cylinders with slide valves, valve spindle tail shafts, Walsehaert's valve gear, studded stuffing boxes and lubricator oil pots to connecting and coupling rod bearings. Further details include ratchet operated lubricator, foot plate controlled drain cocks and damper, eccentric feed pump and by-pass, hand feed pump, tank filler caps and vents and hand operated brake gear. Finished in green with orange lining, black and polished brightwork

Boiler certificate dated 11.1.64

The proto-type of this locomotive was built by John Fowler & Co. Leeds Ltd. for working on a privately owned 2 ft gauge railway in Leicestershire for the conveyance of potatoes. This model has only been steamed once.
