A WILLIAM AND MARY WALNUT EBONISED AND FLORAL MARQUETRY CABINET-ON-STAND with moulded rectangular cornice above one long frieze drawer and two doors inlaid with foliate scrolls, flowerheads and butterflies within laurel borders, enclosing eleven drawers, one fitted, and a door enclosing three drawers, the sides with conforming decoration, on a later walnut stand with triple-arched frieze and on spirally twisted supports joined by a shaped stretcher and on bun feet 44½in. (113cm.) wide; 70in. (178cm.) high; 19¼in. (49cm.) deep

Provenance
Reputedly purchased from a Red Cross sale in 1948 by D. W. Gardiner "from the collection of the Duke of Devonshire, Eton Park". This confused provenance is probably either the Duke of Devonshire or the Duke of Westminster, Eaton Hall, Cheshire
