Fernandez, gold-lined vent, engraved rounded lock with chiselled springs and signed on the inside with initials GL, highly figured walnut half-stock with fluted butt, and integral wooden trigger-guard, inlaid with flat iron panels pierced and engraved with birds, berries and foliage, and on the underside of the fore-end with a sportsman spearing a bear, pierced and engraved iron barrel-band, turned engraved silver ramrod-pipe, iron butt-plate, and velvet-covered cheek-piece (ramrod missing), circa 1710
