A FLINTLOCK FOWLING-PIECE with sighted two-stage barrel lightly chiselled at the forward end of the flat of the breech, signed rounded border engraved lock struck with a mark, WM conjoined, and engraved with foliage, and on the tail with a winged figure blowing a horn, moulded figured walnut full stock (butt wormed, fore-end tip chipped) carved with scrolls in relief behind the barrel tang, iron mounts chiselled in relief, butt-plate and rear ramrod-pipe each with long tang, pierced side-plate chiselled with a winged putto firing a cannon, oval escutcheon chiselled with a profile head, and original wooden ramrod, by Arnoldus Offerlaeck, circa 1700
