D.C.L.I. died, March 1946 in Shaftesbury Military Hospital from wounds received in Normandy 10/11 July 1944; Sergeant Dennis Barrett of the same Bn. was killed on the Calcar to Goch Road, Germany, 17 February 1945; Private J. H. Eley was made a prisoner of war south of Toubruk June 1942 and died in Sicily, 31 October that year
