INDENTD. A. Murison, Engineer Officer, lost his life when S.S. Empire Hawksbill en route for Table Bay was torpedoed and sunk by a U-Boat, 19 July 1942; the total crew of 37 and nine Maritime Gunners have no known grave

D. Marshall, Able Seaman, perished with 656 men, women and children in the boats and on the rafts of S.S. Ceramic after the vessel had taken three torpedoes from U.515 off the Azores, 6/7 December 1942 - the sole survivor, a British Sapper was picked up by the enemy submarine
Leading Airman Owen Llanworne Cribb, Fleet Air Arm, R.N. serving in H.M.S. Formidable died 16 November 1944

C. J. Dowle, serving in the Cable Ship Alert was lost when the vessel was presumed to be torpedoed while involved in cable work off N. Foreland, 24 February 1945; the total crew of 54 and six gunners have no known grave

William Thomas Breckenridge, Stores Assistant serving in the sloop H.M.S. Lapwing, perished when the vessel was torpedoed and sunk off Kola Inlet, North Russia with the loss of nine officers and 149 ratings, 20 March 1945
