INDENTSquadron Leader Melville Percival Conrad Holmes D.F.C. (1918-1944) was engaged on photographic reconnaissance during the early part of the war (Blenheims) and received the D.F.C. for a special daylight mission (London Gazette 23.7.1940.), during which he was blinded in one eye; an experenced pilot he joined 197 (Typhoon) Squadron, July 1943 as the C.O. and was employed with them until he was killed over France, 23 January 1944

Squadron Leader Theophilus John Scott Warren D.F.C. was employed with 107 Squadron (Blenheims) from May 1940 to 24 September 1941 when he was killed in operations over the Miserta -- Benghasi road; (his D.F.C. was awarded for operations in Europe, London Gazette 23.11.1940)
