Sergeant L. G. Smith, Air Gunner, No. 166 Squadron (Lancasters) was Rear Gunner during a raid against Hasselt, 11/12 May 1944 and was reported missing, presumed killed in action when his aircraft failed to return; this was Smith's second operation
