Whilst a member of a tracker group, Private Chabata has played an active part in the elimination of a terrorist group numbering seventeen including a district commander, thereby neutralising the terrorist effort in the area and the recovery of large quantities of arms, ammunition and equipment. During these actions he played a prominent part in physical combat with the enemy, his personal gallantry, outstanding initiative and devotion to duty being far beyond the call of normal operational requirements."
