large illustrated manuscript leaf, gold and gouache on paper, a palace interior, the central enthroned couple flanked by a large number of courtiers, further admirers looking from windows and doors, (very slight flaking), small panels of text above and below, blue red and gold margin between black rules, mounted, framed and glazed, miniature 8¼ x 6¾in. (21 x 17.2cm.), and another, from the Shahnameh, depicting RUSTEM HOISTING AFRASIYAB FROM HIS SADDLE, Shiraz, circa 1580, numerous attendants on the near horizon, (slight flaking), panels of text above, gold and coloured margins, plain leaf with gold animals and flowers, mounted, framed and glazed, miniature 9 1/8 x 7½in. (23.2 x 19cm.), and another, from Jami's Yusuf and Zulaika, depicting YUSUF BEING LOWERED INTO THE PIT, Khorassan circa 1570-80, attendants and trees above, animals below, two small panels of text within the scene, gold and coloured margins, plain leaf with gold animal and floral motifs, mounted, framed and glazed, miniature 7 7/8 x 4 5/8in.
