A LARGE OTTOMAN TOMBAK EWER with well-rounded body rising to the elegant neck with slightly flaring mouth, hinged domed cover, S-shape handle and high rising curving spout with bud finial on three short feet, the lower half of the body with swirling gadrooning alternately filled with leafy and floral designs, a similar small band around the neck, the cover also with floral gadrooned band, the knop cast in the form of a flower-bud surrounded by leaves, the base of the spout with a leaf motif, the handle with twisted rope-pattern, late 18th century (gilding rubbed, very slight denting)
