Approx. half are photographs of art, architecture and sculpture in Italy including Palermo, Syracuse and Taormina with four large views by Sommer. Thirty-one views, probably all by Bonfils of Jerusalem, Damascus, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea, the Sea of Galilee, Beyrout and Baalbec include four large studies of Tiberius, the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane and the interior of the Shrine of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem. The remainder includes large Spanish architectural subjects by Laurent and twenty-six views in Australia, Tasmania and New Zealand.
