Album of ninety albumen prints, all but seven hand-tinted, each approx. 8 x 10½in., majority numbered and titled in the negatives, occasional titles and dates in ink on mounts, tissue guards, red lacquer boards with inset panel depicting landscape scene of river and bridge, gilt onlay, g.e., oblong 4to.

Nagasaki, Kobe, Kioto, Fujiyama, Yokosuka, Tokio, Nikko, Hong Kong, tradesmen including a tobacco cleaner, tea sellers, Japanese and Chinese portraits, Chinese coolies, a gambling scene and a Chinese execution.
