A William & Mary walnut longcase clock, the boxwood and ebony lined convex moulded case on double-footed plinth, brass-framed lenticle to rectangular trunk door, the hood with ¾ columns supporting the pierced wood sound fret to flat top, the dial now signed John Wise, London on the silvered chapter ring, matted centre with decorated calendar aperture, ringed winding holes and subsidiary seconds ring, pierced blued hands, crown-and-putti spandrels, the four pillar movement with anchor escapement and later outside countwheel strike; composite and restored
