Lot 168 recorked at the Château in 1986, and of impeccable appearance. Lot 169 certainly recorked, but no evidence as to when. Label slightly bin-soiled, level base neck
A scorchingly hot summer, the temperature by mid-August reaching 110° F. Irregular crop due to halstorm.
Tasting note: in 1967, a bottle re-corked at the Château 10 years previously was light, elegant and attractive. Another, Bordeaux-bottled, was fairly pale but bright, very fragrant, delicate, with a long, refreshingly acid finish.
Last noted in 1988. This particular bottle should rate at least *** 1 bottle per lot
