Château Latour--Vintage 1926
Details
Château Latour--Vintage 1926
Pauillac, 1er cru classé. Château-bottled
Labels all legible but stained. Levels: in lot 310, upper-shoulder. In lot 311, one mid, one mid-low and two low-shoulder
A dependable wine of a great vintage. Following a long hot Summer the crop was small and the price high, the highest of that very successful decade.
Tasting notes: five, all good. Still impressively deep; crisp, fragrant bouquet of great profundity; fairly sweet, lots of fruit, high extract, still tannic and years of life ahead.
Last noted at the château, April 1990 *****
