Banded overall with tulipwood and inlaid with stars, the serpentine top above two long drawers between keeled angles and a waved frieze, on cabriole legs, restorations, the top possibly partially re-veneered, repair to one front leg

A commode with similar marquetry is in the Museo Correale di Terranova, Sorrento and illustrated in E. Baccheschi, Mobili Italiani del Meridione, Milan, 1966, p. 85, while a further example in the same museum is illustrated in A.P. Murano, Il Mobile Napoletano del Settecento, Naples, 1977, pl. XXV.a.
