A CREAMWARE 'GRAND PLATT MENAGE', the circular base with four fixed circular holders pierced with a band of trellis containing bottles and covers for oil and vinegar, a mustard-pot and cover and a pierced pepper-pot, each of baluster form moulded with a band of foliage, the scroll handles with flowerhead terminals and with acorn finials, surrounding a central shaped column, the capital moulded with acanthus leaves and supported by four scroll branches, the lower part supporting two pierced oval two-handled baskets and two shell-shaped dishes, the upper part supporting four octagonal pierced shallow trays and the scroll terminals suspending four pierced oval baskets with shaped scroll-moulded borders and twisted cord handles, the whole surmounted by a detachable vase and cover on a square plinth supported by winged mermaids and moulded with cherubs' masks and scrolls beneath egg and dart and acanthus borders, the finial to the domed cover modelled as a figure of Plenty (some damages and restorations), circa 1780, probably Yorkshire, Leeds Pottery
