A GOLD-MOUNTED SCENT-BOTTLE AND A STOPPER OF 'GIRL IN A SWING' TYPE modelled as a Chinese family, the seated man with a child holding an apple on his lap, a woman standing beside, he wearing yellow and black conical hat, pale-yellow jacket and striped trousers, she wearing puce skirt and flowered white robe, before a tree-stump applied with turquoise foliage and red fruit, the domed base inscribed VOUS MERITE LA POMME and the underside with a pink rose, the stopper modelled as a seated pug-dog with black fur-markings and wearing a puce collar (his right foot restored, chips to foliage), circa 1755
