Woven in wools and silks, depicting a young soldier wearing a laurel wreath presenting ambassadors at court, the queen seated on a tented throne with ewers and pitchers at her feet while her attendants look on, within a brown and yellow inner slip and an extensive border woven with foliate arabesques and grotesques, monkeys and birds, the border centred by vignettes emblematic of Juno and Mars flanked by scrolled cornucopiae, reduced in height, restorations to right-hand border, with the lower border turned over and cut, the outer blue slip cut to top and turned over to sides, restorations and patching
