Tinted lithographed title, printed list of plates in French and Russian, 63 lithograph views and costume plates etc. only, some tinted, some coloured, by Draeger & Co. of Moscow, engraved map of the Russian Empire hand-coloured in outline bound in. Rather spotted, one plate detached with minor marginal tears. Contemporary calf, stamped in gilt and blind, rubbed at extremities. Provenance: bookplate of Werthern Beichlingen.

Intended to accompany the single part in Russian of Bulychev's Voyage to Iakutsk and Okhotsk, published in 1856. Obol'ianinov 271 calls for 71 plates including duplicate variants of plates 8, 11, 14, 40 & 41, and for an additional penultimate plate not included in the "list of plates", but includes the printed list in the total; the British Library Catalogue calls for 57 plates; cf.
