Lot Essay

These candlesticks are related to a design of 1784 by the fondeur-ciseleur Quentin-Claude Pitoin and is described as Flambeaux de Poing in P. Verlet, Les Bronzes Dorés Français du XVIIIe Siècle, Cahors, 1987, p. 98, fig. 110.
