A terrestrial pocket globe, diameter 3 inches (75mm), overall height 4 ½ inches (115mm). 12 hand-coloured engraved gores, showing the tracks of Cook's second and third voyages and Biscoe's antarctic voyage, original varnish, slightly crackled (a few minor abrasions). Metal pinions, set horizontally in turned mahogany case with domed lid (lid with small crack)
