NEWTON, Family. Newton's New Terrestrial Globe. [London], dated 1835.

A terrestrial pocket globe, diameter 2 inches (51mm). 12 hand-coloured engraved gores, titled in the North Pacific and showing the track of Cook's third voyage. Original varnish, metal pinions (occasional slight abrasion to varnish). Contained in original imitation fishskin covered case, interior lined with hand-coloured gores depicting the phases of the moon and seasons of the year, original clasps.

A charming example of one of Newton's smallest globes, in fine condition.
