An unusual French astronomical apparatus, width 14 ½ inches (37cm), the printed paper platform base showing the planets with moons and satellites, an historical table, table of planets and makers label. Central 1 ¾ inch diameter sunball raised on a wooden pillar, the motion of the earth around the sun illustrated by a circular raised bar with paper calendar and zodiac scales, the bar grooved to take a small model earth, the apparatus mounted on a modern plinth with glazed case.
