Slaters Improved Armillary Sphere. undated, late 19th Century.
An unusual English Armillary sphere in silvered brass, diameter 7 ½ inches (19cm), overall height 13 inches (33cm), with engraved scales on the meridian, horizon, celestial and equatorial circles, the ecliptic with zodiac scale, the armillary sphere mounted on an adjustable arm with latitude scale (lightly oxidised). The armillary sphere supported by a gibbet style mahogany support and base.
