A PAIR OF LOUIS XV GILTWOOD FAUTEUILS

Each with cartouche-shaped channelled back, arms and serpentine seat with squab-cushion covered in floral pink silk, the toprail and seat-rail centred by two flowerheads and trailing foliage, on cabriole legs headed by a flowerhead and terminating in scrolls, one front-rail later, later blocks (2)
Provenance
A suite, including the fauteuils in this lot and comprising six fauteuils and a canapé, was given by Edward VII to Cora Brown-Potter
It was consequently sold at Gallerie Koller, Auction 24, October/November 1970, lot 2007
