The wine department of the Army and Navy stores in Victoria Street was legendary. It had just three managers this century until Mr. Harcourt retired in the 1960s. The quality of bottling of port, claret and burgundy was peerless.
Graham also excellent. A different style, as as always, to Taylor, sweet, soft - though '48 is firm and with life in hand
