A LOUIS XV ORMOLU-MOUNTED KINGWOOD AND PARQUETRY BOMBE COMMODE

The moulded serpentine liver marble top above three short and two long graduated drawers, all simulated as long drawers, mounted with rocaille C-scrolls and foliate handles and escutcheons, the sides with cartouche-shaped quarter-veneered parquetry panels, the shaped angles headed by acorn swags and foliate and C-scroll angle mounts, above a waved apron mounted with further C-scrolls and flowers, on splayed feet with rockwork sabots, the top left-hand drawer replaced and veneered with a mahogany panel, the marble repaired, stamped twice J * BIRCKLE and twice JME
