A MOKKOGATA IRON TSUBA decorated in nikubori and nunomezogan with two primitive Shinto deities, probably Amaterasu and Susano-o, with the sun above and the lunar hare below, on the reverse the moon and tide-ruling jewels, 18th century, 8.8 cm.; and an unusual rectangular iron tsuba with two udenuki-ana and the plate partly bent at right angles, signature partly illegible, inscribed "made to special order", late 19th century, 8.1 cm.
