The seat-rail with its foliage-entwined pole centred by a floral patera, fluted tapering legs and watery stiff-leaf to the base of the stile of this chair relate to a suite of furniture in the Reale Palazzina di Caccia (see: G. Morazzoni, Il Mobile Neoclassico Italiano, Milan 1955, tav. 16, fig. b)
