AN UNUSUAL DATED FUJIAN BLUE AND WHITE ROULEAU VASE of slightly tapering cylindrical shape with a narrow waisted neck, painted in washy tones with a lone fisherman among a mountainous landscape (neck restored), inscribed on the base 'a lucky day in yiyou year of Yongzheng (1729), made for the Wang family of Shaoxiang', and inscribed on the vase 'Bishui painted this (by chance) on a day in the middle of spring'
