A FAENZA (CASA PIROTA) SHALLOW BOWL painted by The Master of the Bergantini bowl with the Deposition of Christ in blue, yellow, green and red heightened in white, the dead Christ lying in the lap of the Virgin comforted by three women with four male figures behind, Calvary in the background and with distant mountains in blue, the reverse with a concentric floral motif in blue and ochre on a berettino ground (minor repairs to rim at 12 o'clock, 3 o'clock and 8 o'clock), B mark in blue, circa 1525
