Genealogies with woodcut illustrations, and double-page engraved map by John More and John Speed (margins trimmed and rather soiled) bound at beginning. Title to New Testament within engraved border. (Lacks first title, supplied in facsimile, inner margin of first five leaves restored, A1-2 torn and repaired, some other minor tears, mostly repaired, a few leaves with margins strengthened, some leaves slightly soiled.) 19th-century calf, rubbed, spine partially detached. Provenance: 17th and 18th-century inscriptions on verso of New Testament title, and some gloss on a few pages; Francis Fry with autograph note signed pasted inside upper cover; Sir Theodore Fry (catalogue card for the Biblical and Oriental Exhibition loosely inserted); Charles E.H. Chadwyck Healey (bookplate).
