Title with woodcut printers device, 60 engraved views, plans and maps by Le Bas, Littret de Montigny, de Neufforge and Patte after Le Roy, including 3 maps of ancient Athens, Piraeus and Sparta (minor offsetting onto text, title lightly spotted). Contemporary red morocco, gilt, covers with floral borders and vase and flower tool cornerpieces, spine gilt in eight sections with flower motifs, g.e. Bookplate of James Whatman. Berlin Kat. 1888.
