4° (195 x 145mm.). 26 leaves (A-O (i.e.leaves 1-14), unsigned thereafter); Woodcut title, letterpress dedication to Hieronimo Diedo on verso, 21 leaves of woodcut examples of various hands, alphabets and illustrations (with occasional letterpress explanations), 8pp. letterpress text and colophon (outer margin of D shaved with slight loss to flourish of first initial on verso). 17th-century limp vellum, panelled in gilt with large central flowers and cornerpieces 'à l'éventail' (ties lacking). Provenance: Father Johannes Marzi (16th-century inscription).
A FINE COPY of a work first published in 1524 in collaboration with the engraver Eustachio Celebrino. Bonacini 1841.
