2° (280 x 176mm.). 150 leaves. Text of Aesop and Gabrias in Greek and Latin, the others in Greek. Aldine anchor on title and verso of final leaf (upper outer corner of first eleven leaves neatly repaired, title with additional neat repairs to inner margin and lower outer corner). 19th-century olive morocco, panelled in gilt end blind with central arabesque, spine in seven compartments with raised bands, lettered in two, g.e., by Francis Bedford (extremities slightly rubbed). Provenance: Earl of Crawford (signature); Henry Harris (Sotheby's 30 Oct. 1950 lot 58 #22 to Maggs Bros.).
