Mary Carter & Son of 80 Grafton Street, Dublin, circa 1800, are believe to have been retailers only. Although listed in Dublin Directories, no advertisements for the firm are known. The only other recorded marked piece is the double-lipped wine-glass cooler in the National Museum of Ireland, see Phelps Warren, op. cit., pl. 23
