Lot Essay

This drawing was part of a larger sheet of studies. It was executed circa 1906, but signed by Picasso at a later date at the Galerie Louise Leiris in Paris. It is one of the studies for the painting Deux Femmes nues of 1906 in the Museum of Modern Art, New York (Zervos, vol. I, no. 366)
