The crest is that of Beaumont, probably for Thomas Wentworth Beaumont (1792-1848) of Betton Hall, Wakefield and Bywell Hall Northumberland, M.P. for Northumberland 1818-1826 and 1830-1837 and for Stafford 1827. He was the son of Thomas Richard Beaumont (1756-1829) and his wife Diana, only daughter and heir of Sir Thomas Wentworth 5th and last Bt.
