A mixed lot of top wines of four excellent vintages spanning, arguably, the most successful period in Burgundy. The varied levels are normal for this age and, in our experience, have surprisingly little effect on the wine. For example a 5 or 7 cms ullage is unlikely to result in the sort of oxidation one might expect with a low-shoulder red Bordeaux
