The penultimate vintage of the "golden" two pre-phylloxera decades. The 1877 was the oldest vintage at a vertical La Mission tasting in 1990. This bottle also originally from the private cellar at the château: Still a good colour, flavour and balance. More than just rare, now likely to be the last bottle in existence
