This design is named after the Contintental Havana Cigar Company, whose Berlin interior (reproduced below left), was designed by Van de Velde in 1899. It was also used in the interior of the Bloemenwarf Haus. A chair to this design was exhibited at the Hohenzollern Kunstgewerbehaus, Berlin, in 1900.
