Inlaid overall with scrolling foliage and flowers, the hinged rectangular top with a central medallion of a vase of flowers and birds on scrolling acanthus and the spandrels with further foliage, enclosing a circular sunken panel with a chess-board, each corner with inlaid playing cards, above a frieze and to the reverse with a pull-out drawer, on square tapering legs with simulated brass caps, restorations, the circular sunken playing-surface previously with felt and later inlaid, the front frieze veneered on pine
