A SOUTH GERMAN WALNUT FRUITWOOD AND MARQUETRY CENTRE TABLE
Late 17th early 18th Century
Inlaid overall with cross-banded panels, the moulded rectangular top, with inset slate within a marquetry border of arabesques and four point stars, above a moulded frieze and on ring-turned tapering legs joined by a pierced rectangular stretcher on later bun feet, minor losses to the veneer, three legs replaced, restorations, the slate top resupported on the underside
29¼ in. (74 cm.) wide; 28½ in. (72.5 cm.) high; 19¼ in. (49 cm.) deep
