A GERMAN WALNUT AND MARQUETRY CABINET-ON-CHEST

The cabinet with a moulded pediment above a drawer flanked by shaped angle brackets and a bowed door with a panel of two men playing chess, enclosing a plain interior, and above a further drawer, flanked by four bowed drawers to each side, with central locking mechanism, on later bun feet, the double-bowed chest with two concentric squares to the top above three long drawers and on later bun feet, the top and base probably associated, losses to the veneer, the reverse with old paper label indistinctly inscribed 'Allsse' and '134'
